【東日本大震災】GNDF AIRDOME／石巻にエアドームを設営しました

先日、マット監督が自ら運転し、石巻へ運んだエアドーム・・・。
石巻のGNDFボランティアによって、日本初の、大型エアードームが設営されました！
GNDF volunteers erected the first giant airdome ever used in Japan.
午前中からテントを広げ始め、出来上がったのが夜８時過ぎだったそうです。
設営までには、たくさんのボランティアの方々のお力添えがありました。

ドームの完成後は、支援物資の保管場所や、数百人の人々のための
地震に強い避難所になります。

After the dome is complete, it can hold 800m2 of emergency supplies, offer shelter and housing for hundreds of people, and is completely earthquake proof.
30m幅のドームではありましたが、GNDFボランティアスタッフはテントの周辺に沿って、1時間以上かけて総重量15トンの砂袋を並べました。
With a span of 30 meters, GNDF volunteers laid 15 tons of sand bags along the perimeter in just over an hour.
きつい仕事は、日本初のエアードームのスケールと大きさに驚いていた
ボランティア達の、友情の絆をよりいっそう深めるきっかけとなりました。

The hard work became a bond of friendship among volunteers who were amazed at the scale and size of Japan's first airdome.
完成です！ Completion
ちょうど6時間後の午後８時に、ドームが出来あがりました！15メートルの高さがあり、
何キロ先からも姿がみえます。
After just 6 hours, the dome was fully complete and work had begun inside.. It stands 15 meters which is large enough to be seen from miles around.
